Ending the season in style - 14/03/12

I had been on a roll catching my personal best grayling and bream, together with nice chub and perch so I decided to return to the Exe thanks, to Simon Cooper, on the last day of the season.

I took similar tackle to the last trip after bream, but had one of those days. I hooked a good bream which dropped off at the net early on, but that was the highlight of the day.  I blanked!!

In hindsight, I should have pre-planned better. I had assumed everything would be the same as the previous week and felt I hadn't got the right gear to be flexible when things changed. 

The golden rule is NEVER ASSUME. I hope I learn from this
