Torridge Reflections De Luxe
Torridge Reflections by local author, Charles Inniss chronicles the history and changing times of The Half Moon Inn, Sheepwash and the beautiful River Torridge. Charles's unique style of writing takes the reader on a nostalgic journey through 40 years of ownership of the Half Moon by the Inniss family and the conservation of his beloved River Torridge.
The first print run was limited to 350 copies, the majority of which had sold by the time the book was launched at the Torridge Fishery Association Dinner on the 13th October, 2012. Included in this first print run were 21 deluxe volumes; bound in finest dark green Harmatan leather, each copy contained a salmon or sea trout fly hand tied by local angler, Duncan Betts. The fly was set into an oval in the front board; each copy was signed by Charles and hand-numbered. The endpapers are in matching water-grained silk and the book which has the features one would expect with a book of this quality, both in terms of content and binding. Approximately 230 pages, it was printed on 150 gsm Munken Pure paper; the edges have been gilded in gold. It is a stunningly-beautiful book; the original leather binding was for just 10 copies, but these sold out well before the launch date, and the number had to be increased to 21 to meet demand. They also sold out prior to launch.
In addition, 44 cloth-bound volumes were produced and these also sold out prior to the launch.
The first print run of 350 copies has sold out, and the second printing and third printing have also sold out
