This reel manufactured was manufactured in France by Mitchell,  originally called CAP (Carpontier and Pons I think) but later rebranded Mitchell to make it more acceptable in the US market.

This 305 is a right hand reel with full bail arm and optional check.  This was one of the better quality reel for the period and is in excellent working order although the paint is worn in places, so more one for the user.  Unusually for this type of reel, the spool is fabricated from sheet metal necessary to withstand the crushing load when tight nylon is wound in  which often broke the normal spool material of bakelite.
