This collector’s edition is also a Centenary Edition of the autobiography of BB and was published in December 2005.
This edition consists of a limited run of just 100 copies. Five de-luxe copies with original artwork in a drop-over box (all sold out), and 95copies which are fully bound in the highest grade moroccan burgundy leather with raised bands, gilt edged and with a silk ribbon marker, and has a hand numbered limitation page. Each copy is presented in a matching buckram bound slip case with thumb cuts.
Every book contains a facsimile five page introduction written by leading author and broadcaster Chris Yates who has personally signed each copy. (It was BB who wrote the foreword for Chris’s first book “Casting at the Sun”.)
Also included is a facsimile of a letter that BB wrote to his Wiltshire Correspondent, James Laverick, relating to the time that he and his family spent at Bratton.
Each copy also includes a print of a purple emperor painted by Margaret Duncan, a Devon based artist and RHS medallist.
This is a book for the discerning collector.
